I’m Valerie Marino, a journalist based in Durham, N.C., who went to Walt Disney World on vacation and turned it into a job. I’ve written about theme parks and travel for Condé Nast Traveler, CNN, Mic, and more.

While I’ve left the freelance hustle behind, I still love talking theme parks, debating the merits of various forms of butterbeer, and surprising my coworkers with my depth of theme park knowledge as the director of marketing and brand communications at Duke Law School.
